A SKAL certificate is a certificate that every company that produces, processes, packages, imports, trades or stores organic products must have (with the exception of shops that sell the products directly to the end consumer, such as supermarkets). Obtaining this certification goes through the SKAL Foundation.

The SKAL certificate is based on European legislation. As a result, the SKAL certification is the same throughout the EU. SKAL certified products throughout the EU are therefore provided with a quality mark. Organic products are thus clearly recognizable to consumers.
