Our identity
We started our company, Frisian Seeds, in 2017. With over 30 years of experience in the seed industry between us, we saw the opportunity to start our own business. Biodiversity is declining due to insufficient attention and the quality of the established order. In our opinion, this needs to change, and it can only happen on an international scale. This is how we began with a business model where we sell seeds in bulk and promote biodiversity.
We offer an extensive range of categories such as vegetables, herbs, flowers, and agricultural seeds. The diversity in our operations has made us an integral part of the international seed trade network since the beginning.
In the past six years, we have successfully optimized our production processes to ensure minimal environmental impact. All of this has contributed to our profitability from the start, thanks to the trust of our 400 global B2B customers.
Our motivation
In our introduction, we already pointed out our passion for biodiversity. It is our “Why?”: To contribute to a global increase in plants, animals, microorganisms, and genetic diversity. After gaining years of experience at a leading seed company, we were ready for a new challenge: finding a way to collaborate with nature and market demand, thereby achieving a balance between healthy economic returns and the enhancement of biodiversity.
This led to our initiative: Frisian Seeds, a global central partner for all seeds with local, national, and international impact on biodiversity and nature. Innovation is needed, and the opportunities are vast and wide-ranging: The more plants, the more wilderness. The more wilderness, the more animals and organic, natural environments.
This benefits the soil and environment, which in turn positively impacts the human surroundings. We aim to let nature innovate to promote biodiversity by creating flower/herb mixtures that improve living environments.
